Something regarding pool and 8-balls that I thought of this week: There's a meta reason why the timeline in which Vriska died ultimately led to failure for the kids - both in the GO timeline, and in the hypothetical scenario where no Aranea appeared and )(IC enslaved the rest of the kids to do her bidding. What's the reason their game ended in failure then? They pocketed their 8-ball early. AKA, Vriska died prematurely.
