cabo de rama fort is one of the prominet In the 1760s, the Portuguese gained control of Cabo de Rama after the Raja of Soonda surrendered his territory to them in return for protection against Hyder Ali of Mysore. Prior to that, the fort had regularly switched hands between Hindu and Muslim monarchs. The present structure with its walls, moats, ramparts turrets, chapel and cannons are remnants of the Portuguese era. The Portuguese equipped it with 21 guns and installed military barracks, a commander's quarter and a chapel. currently the fort is in ruins and abanded state it is one tourist attraction of Goa. you can reach fort by any public transpor to cabo de rama fort from south or north goa its takes 2 hr ride from baga beach and 70 km from baga beach these are some amazing beaches nearby is cabo de rama beach and colva beach and cancona beach cabo de rama view point
