Goal Setting 2016 (Yay!)
In my attempt to have an organized adult life, I figured, I should start by making lists - lists of what I want to accomplish this year, list of what I should stop doing, list of what I should start doing, and all other lists that would make me look like I’ve got my adult life all under control. I’ve seen my Facebook friends (because really, who’s got time to meet people in person?) do lists and they seem to be successful at this mess of adulting. Soooo, why should I not give it a try? After all, it’s in my list to start taking on new challenges this year (yay for one goal crossed of my goals for 2016!).
Just a week more and it’s already month 2 of 2016, but hey, better late than never, right? Without further ado, here are this year’s goals and let’s all hope this would not be the first time that I’d be making a list! Update: ticking things off now 10 years later (self, it’s now 2026!)
BIG GOALS
☐ Enroll in graduate studies or have a baby (or who knows, maybe I can juggle both!)
✅ Acquire a lot for our dream house or start a business (dependent on the moolah)
✅ Explore at least one local and one international place
SMALL GOALS
☐ Get back to baking and hopefully, finally making money out of it!
☐ Build family emergency fund
✅ Learn to do make-up
☐ Have a more active lifestyle and try to get into a diet program (Target: 110lbs)
✅ Say ‘YES!’ to every opportunity that will come my way
✅ Take on new challenges
☐ Spend less, save more (in 2026, magastos ka pa din girl!)
☐ Read and write more
✅ Spend time with people (social anxiety and awkwardness are getting worse by the second, okayyyyy)
✅ Join a church ministry
Aaand that’s about it. Maybe I’d regularly add entries and cross off things I’d accomplish on this list. Or maybe, I’d forget about this after quite sometime because making lists isn’t really me and I’d rather surprise myself with the tons of shit I’d accomplish when I’m done being the lazy ass procrastinator that I really am.
