It is the end of Week 1 and I wanted to take a look back on changes I have made per the tools of HPA. The road to high performance is a lot of work and I know it will be even more more so in the months to come but I am focused. I have 2 major goals I want to meet by the end of the year. One for our video production company in September and the other for my dance studio in December. I have big goals and I have every intention of meeting them.
This past week here are some things I planned on integrating into my life per BB and HPA.
1. Waking up early--- I have been doing pretty well with this. Getting more sleep overall but towards the end of the week I went back to my old ways a bit but I still woke up early. I’ve been waking up at around 7:30-8. Goal is to wake up at 7A this week. Been getting 8 hours sleep for the most part. RATING: 7
2. Exercise---- I did better here. I did not reach 5-6 days, however I did go 3 times. This week I am shooting for the 5x. 2 out of those 3 classes was going to my own pole classes which I am very proud of. RATING: 4
3. Morning ritual-- Meditating: Doing GREAT with this. Doing it every AM, sometimes in the afternoon, and evening. It has been a great way to start the day.
The first hour per BB: Been good about starting the day without looking at my phone for 1 hour...water, moving, and planning the day. I could get better but this is part of the process. I found that moving by playing ball wth CC while Bender is out has been great! RATING: 5
4. My room. For my entire life I have had difficulty keeping my room tidy. And though, I don't think I am a horder, I do have a lot of clothes, shoes and things that end up being a big pile on my room floor. This situation, I am embarrassed to say, has been an issue with all of my bfs that I have lived with including my current one This is something I really need to fix. I know this. I have known this and somehow I feel that it will help unlock more of what the universe has to offer. My potential is trapped under the piles. So...we had a new roommate move in and I had to move furniture from that room to my “closet “ room which required me to clear out. So, I have the opportunity to start the process, I mean really start it. Or let it go back to what it was. The latter is not the option. Stay tuned... RATING: 2
5. Blocking out times in the day----I have been doing great with this. As BB suggested. Block out a few hours to focus on one project. Not something I really had a problem with but I have been doing the every 50 minutes take a break and do some CHI GONG tip. I think that has really been helping me. RATING: 6
Looking back at my week, I realize that I in fact did a lot of work. Not bad for Week 1, but truth be told I can definitely take it up a notch. I started to feel like I wasn’t “crushing” it and it was making me feel bad but I have to be patient with myself throughout the process.
One thing I know I need to add to my schedule this week is self care. For most people it is a part of their daily regimen, but it is not part of mine.
