July 11-18 Goals
The heat has been a real bummer this past week, but it's supposed to get slightly better this week. 🤞 Let's hope between that and spending the weekend resting my shoulder that I can get back to work on what all I'd like to get through in this new week.
Before I get to my weekly goals, I'm going to be changing things up a little bit. Some may be already aware this account isn't my main like it was before, so you may or may not have seen glimpses of said main (also linked in intro).
Going forward, I think I'm going to post both blogs' goals lists together in separate posts but similar formats to better show what I'm working on. That way, you can also figure out which blog is getting maybe a bit more attention at any given time.
Okay, let's get into this...
For this week here on @callalillywrites, I hope to:
Finish queuing up all my older stories
Start work on an older request and the remaining Fluffcember prompts I didn't finish last year
Watch the movies of some characters I've been thinking about adding to my masterlist lineup
Build up and start working way through reading list
And for this week here on @deathknightvellinaria, I hope to:
Put several more older stories in my drafts to queue up
Finally start and try to finish this week the final story in Kirsten Weir's Ruby Red Trilogy
Set up a prompt list for requests that center around monster-lover stories
Build up and start working way through reading list
I'm hoping to start my week here on callalillywrites but end on deathknightvellinaria. We'll see how it goes though.
I think I want to start sharing my weekly goals here. I used to post them on my official blog/website (for my author life) but stopped because of AI scraping.
But I miss sharing and updating. Sooooooo.
Wk #37 goals:
Write >500/day on the novel
Write a fanfic oneshot
Submit some poems (already done)
This week I also had some admin things - queried a market that's had a story for over 4mos, updated the website (which I'm still keeping separate from my fic life, sorry friendos), called and scheduled appts for the eye doctor, dentist, and renewed my migraine meds.
Also, continued progress on deep cleaning the house. This week the goal is to conquer our master bathroom *fingers crossed*.
So yeah. This is the plan this week (my weeks run Sun-Sat). I'll rebloop this on Sunday with how I did, and then make a new post for the next week.
Notion page ideas !!
For my girlies that have no idea in what to put in their notion, this is 4 u !!!!
Weekly planner
This is so convenient for anyone who doesn’t like repetitive routines!! Basically what i do is that I assign a theme to each day of the week, then add tasks that play into that theme. E.g Mindfulness monday, healthy tuesday, educational wednesday, spiritual thursday, rejuvenating friday, productive saturday and resetting sunday are mine <3
Weekly journal
Keeping track of the weeks in the year and how you feel about them is just so tiring on paper, so i decided to put them on notion instead. BEST IDEA EVER!!! Basically I just journal about my past week and what i except for next week. Heres the template I created that I use for my weekly journals !
digital diaries: results from last week 🍩
Create a daily mobility routine
Done and did! Cat-cow, camel pose, downward dog, child’s pose, upward dog. Done almost everyday.
Have a 30 min focus period
…failed. The way I completely forgot. I barely looked back at this post and that’s my fault fr.. 😞
Finish one post, make progress in another
I actually finished three posts! Yayayay!
Decide this year’s goals
Done and posted here!
Listen to self concept subliminal playlist daily
Okay.. I didn’t use the same playlist everyday. Recently I’ve been mainly using what I call my ‘masterlist’ playlist, characteristics of an angel.
Let's welcome the new week!
Happy Monday, lovelies!
My last post was terribly depressing, and I honestly don’t want that to be the vibe of this small blog/wanna be glow up hub. I think I was just frustrated and tired of being sad and in pain.
Last night, I felt better though, and there’s a specific thing that helped me. Something that always helps me.
I decided to start treating myself as the main character - like I’m in some show I like (current hyperfixation is Gilmore Girls btw). To be honest, not only treat myself like that, but also act, think, and speak like I’m the main character. Because, after all, I am the main character of my life, and I feel like there’s something so fun about embodying such a mindset.
I’d like to stick with it. It helps me get out of the misery FASTER.
Anyway, today marks the start of a new week. I’m feeling better - both physically and mentally. I’m finally able to move more comfortably, and gosh, that makes me so happy. My weekly goals? Eh, not so many. I’m still a little unsure of how things will progress with my sprain, and I’ve been a little tentative to make many plans.
I certainly want to do these things, though:
Reach 5k words. Btw, I’m really close to achieving my 100k words yearly goal FOR THE VERY FIRST TIME!
Drink more water. I’ve been neglecting my hydration since I just injured. Today, I’m doing really well with it.
Keep up with my small positivity practice by writing down 5 positive things that happened each day.
Continue organizing the office/reading room - there have been so many books to declutter and organize, but omg, I DO MAKE PROGRESS.
A gentle reminder for the week ahead
It’s a new week, and that means there’s always the opportunity to make things right and fix whatever didn’t work last week.
It’s time to set new goals and work on them. To let go of thoughts that don’t really serve us.
Take the time to be gentle to yourself and rest if you need to. Self-care is important.
Allow yourself to feel without judgement. That’ll bring you closer to accepting who you really are.
Five affirmations to set the right tone for this week
I’m letting go of anxious thoughts and feelings about things I can’t control.
I embrace the new week with a positive mindset and confidence.
This week is filled with abundance and amazing opportunities.
I am worthy of good things in life.
I am ready to face the challenges that come my way this week.
What about you? What are your hopes and plans for this week? What are the good habits you’re sticking with?
Weekly Goals
My goals for last week were to write approximately 13k words so that I could hit 40k for my total wordcount, and to update my cover and formatting for my proof copies and order those. Got the bonus task of proof copies reformatted and ordered, and surpassed my goal, writing 16,341 new words!
I'm getting really close to the end of draft one. My goal for this week is to get 5k written, as usual, but I have the rest of the story structured right now, and I think I might be able to finish this draft if I have the time. I'm back to work again this week, so time is not on my side, but I'm hoping motivation kicks in and I can get it done! This draft I'm shooting for 50k, but there's a lot of [thing] brackets that'll make it a lot more full and several scenes I decided later need to be added in, so it'll probably bulk up quite a bit in later drafts.
As for my bonus task for the week, I'm gonna try to get my posting schedule for March made up and make my posts in advance!
