Picking at his lunch, he listened to the other’s over-dramatic monologue with little interest. Of course, a couple of snide remarks came into mind with his every word, but Yamaguchi prided on his ability to keep his mouth shut– despite his previous slip up. It may have been harsh, but he was only trying to be kind in the long run. A tiny sigh escaped his lips and he gave a quick roll of the eyes. “ I’m sure that you’re devastated. “ He replied, not giving Komari so much as a side glance as he stood up.
He made no further attempt to try and make the man leave, not caring much at this point. At least after that out burst, he would be able to contain how annoyed his underclassman could make him for quite some time. Some kind of apology was probably in order, however Yamaguchi decided on shoving some food in his mouth, rather than even bothering. Hopefully if he ignored it all, the problem would just dissolve all together.
Reversed psychology was apparently not working on this stubborn mess; he anticipated something like a pity party to let Komari sit with him and enjoy his lunch alongside him ---- but Yamaguchi was not exactly the emotional type. Bowing respectfully to his upperclassman then, a faint “Take care, Yamaguchi-san.” uttered from his lips before he moved on to grab his bento box and find another place to sit and eat. Of course, he could’ve been looking for Midousuji after all ---- but knowing him, he preferred being alone much more than Komari did, thus respecting that. As charming as Komari could be, he wasn’t exactly crowded -- probably due to his rather ‘recluse’ behaviour, a hermit if you will, much in contrast to his extroverted displays when he was blessed with the finest muscles meat. It felt lonely and dull, quite frankly. And as much as he really, really wanted to spend time with Yamaguchi -- if the man so much hated his presence, he shall step back and watch the scene unfold from afar.
Of course, at the end of the day, they had to at least share the same activities, being in the same club and whatnot.
As the turquoise-haired boy entered the KyoFushi bicycle club room, he greeted Mizuta, before moving over to his usual spot on the bench next to Noriyuki, placing his bag onto the wooden seat before turning to the freckled male. “Nice seeing you, Yamaguchi-san.” Ever since their little argument at lunch, he dropped the more close ‘senpai’ honorific and kept it more formal -- maybe also to show just how upset he was, but mostly because he meant to show that he was taking steps back when Yama really wanted him to. “I do hope you enjoyed the bento I made you. I put a lot of detail into it and also made it with a lot of love. If you didn’t like it, you can tell me what I could do better, next time.” Putting their differences aside, he was still the same Komari who wanted to take care of Yamaguchi and did not want him to buy ready-made meals that were unhealthy for him and his muscles.
