         FOOLISH  OWL  HOW  YOUR  EYES  BETRAY  YOU  !  Past  the  pane  of  glass  a  display  of  music  and  triumph  .  A  giddy  flitter  which  brought  her  to  the  window’s  edge  .  Poised  upon  a  barren  oak  sat  a  PROUD  creature  .  With  the  gaze  of  a  human’s  yet  it  haunted  !  Even  bewitched  !  But  even  under  the  guise  of  such  a  noble  bird  ,  the  champion  of  trials  long  since  passed  knew  better  to  grant  her  trust  with  ease  .  This  would  be  a  compromising  exchange  ,  one  which  could  easily  lead  her  down  the  path  of  misfortune  once  more                O’  but  she  was  a  feckless  mortal  ,  one  who  knew  not  how  to  tread  lightly  into  the  unknown  . 

          The  latch  falls  away  in  deft  fingertips  and  the  cool  night  air  bursts  forth  into  the  bedroom  subduing  some  of  the  chatter  within  .  An  elbow  rests  upon  the  sill  .  Green  eyes  brimming  with  intrigue  that  could  only  be  accompanied  by  SUSPICION  . ❛  Gotta  little  lonely  down  there  all  by  yourself  ,  didn’t  you  ?   ❜  Cheeky  little  thing  !   And  yet  she  pressed  on  . ❛  Still  staring  is  rude  .  At  least  here  above  ground  it  is  ...   ❜
