Wireless charging has finally arrived! You may have heard about it over the past couple years, or even attempted to try it. So, why hasn’t wireless charging created a revolution and obliterated charging cords from the earth? To put it simply: it hasn’t been reliable, too many standards initially emerged, and converting was too complex and expensive…until now.
We live in a mobile world, so why are we surrounded by charging cords? Just visit a coffee shop, hotel lobby or airport, and see how many “mobile” phones are “leashing” their owners to a plug. In fact, look around your home, car, and office…how many charging cords do you own? Charging cords are ridiculously expensive, easily lost, and have a propensity to tie themselves in knots. Our phones may be smart, but charging them with a cord is dumb. Cordless, wireless or cable-less charging has been under developing for a number of years, but for a number of reasons is just now going mainstream. Specifically, it has not been reliable enough…until now!
