In fact everything with Jack and Bridget was so lovely and thrilling to me--I made a sound out loud when he pulled out the chair for her, it was such an exquisite moment that acknowledged their new, shifting positions in the world and in relation to each other. Of course that was what would set them at ease, and allow their old way of relating to each other make way for something new.
I loved too the slight shift in how Jack held himself sitting at the servants' table downstairs at the Van Rhijn house, now that he's a guest. And him reading his Harper's Bazaar in his very own parlor!
And finally, of course, I loved the nod to the way their abortive attempt to date in s1 turned out--"Can I say that without making you feel uncomfortable?"--and Jack not wanting to make her feel bad or uncomfortable again. I love them, I loved that scene, I have such high hopes for what their plotline could be in s4.

"They live for two months, but what a beautiful two months." What if I cried???
Because of plot™️, Tom finds himself carrying a damaged (roboticized) movie metal sonic in his arms as he runs from certain danger and he don’t realize that metal sonic is then steadily hugging him for safety with his non damaged arm (almost like a son who haven’t hugged his dad in a while)
INSANE
this ask reminded me of one scene from a show called We Bear Bears. One of the titular bears gets reminded of the sleeve of a firefighter that saved him as a kid and the inherent comfort and feeling of safety.
it's always the feeling of inherent safety roboticized Metal would feel around The Wachowskis!!
And just. Yearning!!! Unknowingly yearning to just get hugged and held by his dad again!!! To be told it's gonna be alright cause he's right there!!! MAN!!!

No actually I'm still hung up on it.
Zero's "a friend is a person your trust" revelation DIRECTLY followed by the WoL thinking about Zenos.
Zenos, whose feelings towards the WoL were so strong that they not only broke through Meteion's Ultimatium, carried the Warrior on his back, and then as he lay dying STILL had a strong enough sway over the dynamis in at the edge of everything to save the WoL's life, letting himself die at the end of it, their conversation ending with Zenos, through his final act, confessing that the only happiness he found in life was with someone that he didn't know how to love in a way that wasn't violent and selfish with a passion enough to tear the world apart.
"A friend is a person you trust" not to WoL, not ONLY at least, because they had a friendship that was not built on the foundation of a mutual trust, but on the foundation of challenge, and acceptance for the other as the broken, fascinating thing that they are.
My enemy, my friend.
