Some people call it fate.
Some people call it destiny.
But I call it, God-ordained.
Let me tell you a story about a girl that for the past 2 years of her life, her heart was broken and ripped apart by events in her life that a normal girl can't even imagine. But then God made a way to mend her broken heart and finally got the happiness she always wanted.
The first year was rough for the girl. Her 5 year relationship with her boyfriend started to go on the rocks. While day after day, fight after fight, she tried to remain strong and thought "5 years, I have put up with you. I am willing to take this forever." But the boy did not want to. Instead, he wanted to get away from it all. Since the girl approved of his get away with friends, the boy really wanted the girl to come too. But because of all the work over the weekend, she could not go. So the boy went with his friends.
The boy went back with refreshed spirit. But the girl, who was left behind, looked at his Facebook and saw pictures of another girl in the vacation holding the boy's hand. Angry and irritated, she called up the boy and confronted him. The boy quickly denied that it was just a friend and that the girl did not trust the boy. The argument lead to the girl admitting her mistakes and the boy's lie prevailed. Then the boy decided to let her go because he thought she did not trust him which made the girl think that it was her fault.
The girl consulted a friend who is good in investigating Facebook accounts. One by one the lies of the boy were becoming real to her. She was devastated. She taught, "Our relationship was nothing but a lie. He never loved me at all." The girl never bothered to contact the boy or even asked to boy why he did that. All she knew that she was nothing to him.
For the rest of the first year, she longed to be loved again. She turned to her Bible turned to Psalms and God spoke to her saying "He heals the brokenhearted and binds up their wounds." She thank God that finally someone cares.
That same year, she recommitted her life to Jesus Christ promising to live the life He wanted. She thought everything was going well except her dad was in and out of the hospital recently. There are days when he was okay and days it was just hard.
The second year came and she celebrated new year with her dad. She was blessed to have left last year with a bang. She was hoping the coming year would be better with her new found faith. But things were not getting better for her dad. He started needing more oxygen and needed to be on a wheelchair. Benefit concerts and friends donations, help support her dad's needs.
Then one night in July, her dad felt a heavy weight on his chest. They rushed him to the hospital and the doctor confirmed that he had a minor heart attack. He had to be checked in the hospital. The girl watched her dad at night of the past 3 days. She did not mind if she will lose her job, just as long as she is with her father.
One night at the hospital, they had a talk. Her dad told her, "When I am out of the hospital, we need to go to the beach. Just a little family outing." The girl was already crying. She did not say a word that night. Her dad went on and on about Heaven and how he is excited to go. He was also telling her to fix his songs because he was a composer. She will be the one to manage them when he is gone. The girl sat there and cried. She didn't want to hear those type of talks. So she told her dad, "You need rest. We will talk tomorrow." Little did she know that that was the last time they would talk.
Early in the morning when she went on her way, she got a call from her brother telling her she needed to go to the hospital because her dad needed her. She rush to the hospital as fast as she could and found her family crying. The doctors were trying to put a tube down her dad's throat so he could breath properly. After 5 agonizing hours, they finally got the tube down to her dad's lungs and he could finally breathe but with difficulty.
The girl's dad was moved to the ICU. There was a boy and a lady staying there before them. The girl was supposed to stay that night but she was too scared because there was a boy in the same room. Everyday in the ICU was terrible. But the lady and the boy made sure that everything will be okay for the girl. It turns out that the boy was actually kind of friendly.
One night at the ICU, the boy and the girl were able to share stories. It turns out that the boy was an extended friend of her. She even told him, "Why didn't we met before?" They were able to become friends after that talk and they give comforting words to each other. The boy was stronger than the girl. Even though his mom was at the ICU, he still showed the girl that everything will be okay.
Days passed and word from the girl's dad is getting worst. Relatives after relatives are coming to visit her dad. Everyday she would go to the ICU and read the Bible to him that was the only time they had for each other. She would hold his hand and she would whisper a prayer.
As much as the girl wanted her father to stay, he needed to go. Her dad finally went to the Lord. With another broken heart she cried to God, "Lord, why would you broke my heart again? Didn't I had enough last time? You took away my love then my Dad." With heavy a heavy broken heart, she still attened Bible study and church thinking this is her only refuge from her suffering. The boy she met at the hospital was continually talking to her and comforting her at her most down.
She didn't even notice that little by little, the boy at the hospital was being nice to her. They chated almost everyday and the girl was taking notice. The boy did not have that intention to court her but deep inside he does. All he wanted was to get to know the girl but days past and he was falling for her.
The boy notice something extra-ordinary with the girl. He liked her but is afraid to confess his feelings because of the heartbreak he also experienced before. But it was as if God-ordained for them to meet at that bad time at the hospital.
The girl had the same feelings too. She was scared too thinking he might break her newly healed heart. But the boy reassured her that it was ok. He was different. Like he was an answered prayer she prayed before.
Maybe God had a reason He broke her heart the first time because her love was not right and she found the right love, Jesus Christ. The second time He did it again was to strengthen her and make her more responsible. Then God made a way to let her walk to a new love that is beyond her reality that it would come true. To tell you the truth, that girl was me. Broken two times and made whole two times. No matter how hard it is now, I assure you God will make a way to change the bad and it will become good.
