Hades knew that Zagreus was a remarkably capable young man, and he was quite proud of his son.  He was kind, intelligent, and remarkably witty, and not afraid to stand up for those who couldn't.  Oh, of course, he knew that Zagreus wasn't PERFECT; he'd inherited things from Hades himself, after all, but that didn't change how much he loved him.

"Let's see, last time talked about how all mortals eventually end up in the Underworld, and took a tour of each part of the realm," Hades mused, smiling over at his son, who was growing FAR too quickly for his liking.  "What do you want to learn today, Zagreus?"

Nico watched, mouth slightly agape as the godling slashed through the last of the monsters present in the chamber. He had thought his own Stygian Iron sword was pretty cool when he first got it, but it was a like comparing a water pistol to a machine gun with what Zagreus wielded. A part of him might’ve been jealous at the thought, but really he could only be impressed. A voice that sounded very young in his mind began to rattle off the stats of the weapon Stygius from the Mythomagic card, but if he had to guess now, Nico would say the weapon was way underpowered.

“How many times have you done this?”

He asked, awe in his voice, before he caught himself, mouth tugging down in a slight frown before he tried to mimic the sword swing. He was supposed to be learning, not just standing around and being useless.

‘  i  call  upon  the  aspect  of   . . .  ELATHAN? ‘   and with the prince’s voice does the queen of the moon offer him a charming laugh as she materializes in the underworld.  stygius has taken on a new form, a blade like a rapier, a dueling sword, and before him does a champion of a god stand. she is not as tall as him, for she was once mortal, but she carries the same grace as the mothers of the night sky like NYX , NIGHT INCARNATE.   ‘ well, hello. ’  she smiles at him.  ‘ for what purpose have you called upon my aid, milord? you look quite confused . . . ’
