Marble votive relief dedicated to the goddess Demeter by Claudia Ageta, priestess of Demeter, found at the Temple of Demeter near Sparta, Greece, circa 170 CE.
The relief depicts a tray of personal care items, including: a bowl, a mortar and pestle, a spoon, a scallop shell for mixing, bottles for unguents/ perfumes, a strigil for bathing, two mirrors, cosmetic cases, boxes, combs, pins, a hairnet, and two pairs of sandals. The tray is decorated with a raised border of pine cones, ears of grain, pomegranates, ivy, and a small snake.
