Mother's Day 2026 Special Dedication!

Unfortunately I did not have much time to plan through some full on project of Mother's Day and somehow I didn't want it to be just a plain "Happy Mother's Day" post either and then I remembered the OG story about a mother and a daughter...Demeter and Persephone and this fantastic video music arrangement!

Made by Vaxevaneris Stylianos Hephaestion and arranged in amazing music that honestly seems inspired by traditional Greek music especially some Cretan and island music! And yes if you guys noticed, it is the first lyrics of the Homeric Hymn to Demeter!!!

I will begin to sing for Demeter with the beautiful hair, the modest and august goddess, for her and her daughter with the beautiful ankles, the one that Hades has abducted and was given to him by the far-seeing Zeus of the loud thunder. She was away from Demeter of the golden sword and the beautiful fruits, playing with the deep-folded daughters of Oceanus and she was picking flowers, roses and crocus and beautiful violets as well as irises on the soft meadow. Then she saw a narcissus flower, which was placed there by Gaea as a bait for the young girl beautiful as a flower bud, because it was the will of Zeus that she were to be given to the Receiver of Many, the narcissus was glistering wonderfully; it was a marvel to look at both for immortal gods as well as mortal humans

I so love this hymn! And also love this execution of it! For starters it shows how Greek language is the same even if it has changed from its original archaic forms, is still the same language and can be transferred to the present more than efficiently. I also love this hymn especially for the beautiful and marvelous epithets for the gods being so poetic! So beautiful always having the gods being referred to with their epithets or descriptions!

Demeter: εὔκομος (with beautiful hair) σεμνή θεός (modest/august goddess) χρυσάορος (of the golden sword) ἀγλαόκαρπος (bearing beautiful fruits) Persephone: τανύσφυρος (of the beautiful/thin ankles) καλυκῶπις (the one who looks like/beautiful like a bud) Hades: πολυδέκτης (receiver of many) Zeus: βαρύκτυπος (heavy sounding, of loud thunder) εὐρύοπα (the far-seeing, the one who sees away)

But I daresay this is one of the many beautiful mother stories of Greek myth and honestly I do not think anyone can say it better than the hymn itself! And I definitely recommend these songs! They involve many ancient hymns that are transferred with beautiful music and rhythm!!!

Everybody, Here is news on a blog I am working on!

Okay so, You know the Godly Critters AU I made? Well, I am making an ask blog for them all! Here are some things that will happen in the future blog. Due to the Greek religion having no sins, you could ask A N Y T H I N G, whether you wanna give one of them something, ask them something that's personal or not, make them do something, make them wear something (Pls don't make it too detailed, I'm already dying here-), ask for a tarot card reading (you can do a tarot reading about either your future or what God is reaching out to you/what God suits you better, I have tarot cards to do this and answer to it), want one of the Greek critters to interact with one of your OCs, ask them for advice, etc., They WILL answer (They are held at gunpoint to do so-). They will sadly not be able to answer questions on this main blog anymore. The Godly Critters Will be changed due to only little of the critters having cloth, also, their design is gonna be changed. The reason why they will be changed is that my little sister wanted to redesign them all, so I let her and they all are AMAZING, I WILL be crediting her when I make the blog for the AMAZING design and helpful hand! Here is a photo of one of them so you guys could imagine what the others will be :]

Some will be changed a little due to not doing the same like my little sister, overall I'm happy to make this with my little sister and I hope you all like it too! (Btw, The gods allowed me to make this, so thank them too for letting me make this blog!)

lol I thought Freyja & I were done with work but I guess not. Anyway I would’ve never thought Gaia or Demeter would reach out. I had the sense that Isis and Venus (Aphrodite) would as they came through my personal readings.
