Wow. Just-wow. So many healings and such amazing worship all day and night long. This is the start of something amazing in America and I'm so privileged to be a pet of the start of revival in America #azusanow #azusanow2016 #azusastreetrevival #christianity #godshowedup
prayer is a beautiful thing
On friday nights I usually attend the college group at Harvest Christian Fellowship in Riverside... Usually its a time of worship and a message from one of the Pastors...
This time it was something completely different...First let me give you a little background info...
Harvest does these events called Harvest Crusades where the church rents out a space such as a stadium or amphitheater and basically preaches the gospel to hundreds of thousands of people. If you ever get the chance to watch one or attend one, it's really an awesome experience. This year it's being held in Philadelphia! I'll post the link in case anyone comes across this and wants to check it out.

Anyway, last night at the Well, we worshipped the Lord as usual, which is always a blessing. But after the worship, Ryan gets up on stage and is like 'hey tonight is going to be a little different. We're going to being praying for the Harvest Crusades in small groups." I'm like OH NO...although I wasn't too surprised by this, I was a little scared and selfish I might add. When I heard this all I could think was "ah man...I have to pray out loud. I don't like to pray out loud." Selfish right? But you see, I'm a quiet person when it comes to larger groups of people..I like to blend in rather than be in the spotlight.
So we get into small groups of about 5 to 6 people and we start praying. Praying for the satellites, all the media, the equipment...praying for the pastors, for the hearts of the people, and for the people serving at this event. As we start praying out loud in the group, I'm quiet...I'm praying in my head for God to help me to pray out loud! I finally speak up after wrestling with myself and with God for a few minutes in my head.
YES, it was hard to find the right words to say but you know what? Trying and doing it is what matters to God. It doesn't matter if you stutter or you get confused with what to say or what to pray for. All that matters is that you're talking to God and you are going to him for your needs and requests.
As we were praying, I got over my selfishness and I got over my fear of what people were going to think of my prayers. God showed up. Not only did he show up but he humbled me. It was like a slap in the face of his grace and love.
He says in Philippians 4 to not be anxious and to pray about everything and be thankful! But you know, that's so hard to remember at times.
Last night was a reminder.
It was really amazing to be a part of something bigger than myself.
Prayer is a beautiful thing.
