Don't chase the rabbit
((Oh gosh, oh gosh, oh gosh. I don’t know if I should do something from before or after she declared herself a country. Hmmm… I’ll do something from before.))
It had been a year since the seven islands had had a reunion, so Aera wasn’t sure what to expect. Though it was supposed to be annual, there was always at least one nation that didn’t show up. Even as the individual islands differed over the years, there was one thing that was always constant: the location.
Aera’s house was at the center of all her siblings’, so it was only reasonable for them to meet at her capitol. Despite what most would assume, however, she lived in a southern town for most of the year, rather than her capitol.
Gentle knuckles struck the door, and Aera rushed to answer. She already knew who it was because there was only one person missing. It was typical for Zgen to arrive hours late.
"Hello," she greeted with as much enthusiasm as she could muster. Aera’s eyes, however, were fixed on the air behind her sister. The sky was white, and she could see the fog escape her sibling’s mouth as she spoke.
"Hey!" Zgen gave a sort of warm half-smile. Yes, her suspicion was correct. Tiny clusters of white were drifting, scattered throughout the air.
"It’s snowing," Aera informed the woman with an eager voice. It hardly ever snowed in Anei. Even when it did, it was much more likely in Awshdo’s or Freng’s house. It seemed as if the snow hadn’t started until seconds before Zgen knocked on Aera’s door.
Though she felt rude doing so, she rushed inside to alert her siblings.
"It's snowing!" She dashed back to the door, followed by a confused family.
"What do you know?" Darzeh mumbled to no one in particular. The ground was too warm for the snowflakes to do anything other than dissipate into the asphalt, but it still brought light to the eight pairs of tired eyes.
((Sorry for the delay...))
