If you could have a magical object, what would it be? There are tons of magical artifacts in my favorite books, and one of my favorites from the United States of Asgard/God's of New Asgard series is Loki's Mask of Changing! The Apple Throne is a book that I put off reading for so long, because I didn't want the series to be over! It kind of flipped the world on it's head, but it was a fun ride! 🥰 My favorite in the series is still The Lost Sun, but that doesn't mean that this disappoints! #QOTD : If you could have a superpower or magical item, what would it be? Are there books in series that you've put off reading (intentionally or unintentionally)? I definitely did that with the books beyond The Lost Sun in the United States of Asgard/Gods of New Asgard series. I loved the first book so much when I read it around 6 years ago, that even though I had the rest of the series, I couldn't bring myself to read them until this summer! It's precisely why I decided to highlight each individual book, rather than the whole series at once! The mood and character focuses are so different in each book that they can almost function independently, even though they all tie into each other, which is a really fun concept for a series. The Strange Maid is the second book in the USoA series, and it focuses on the Child Valkyrie, Signy, who was chosen by Odin and is attempting to understand and justify her position with the other Valkyries. Her journey revolves around the riddle that she needs to solve in order to take her rightful place. It's definitely a darker tone than the first book, but it's so artfully done! #QOTD : What's your favourite type of book plot -- happy ending, cliffhanger, or sad/depressing ending? AOTD: I'm definitely a fan of a happy ending!
