There is not a single picture of the undisguised Black Hole Aliens in Terror of Mechagodzilla

Everyone talks about the gruesome unmasking scene in the uncensored version, but there is not one picture of it on the Internet.

They look different than the first film apparently, so I am really irritated at this oversight.

Kilaaks

The Kilaakians (キラアク星人?, Kiraaku Seijin, lit. Kilaak Planet People) are a race of aliens and are the main antagonists of the 1968 film, Destroy All Monsters. 

They hail from Planet Kilaak, an undiscovered planet either somewhere within the Asteroid Belt... or which became it.

While all played by actresses, the Queen in her premature victory speech mentions  that the Earth now belongs to “every man, women and child of the Kilaak”

It may be a cultural thing that only the elite dress in a way non-androgynous by human standards. Aliens denying their people individuality was already played with for horror in the prior Godzilla film, Godzilla vs the Astro Monster.

Despite their appearance, they are not organic and when forced into temperatures lower than that which they can comfortably survive , take on a metallic, slug-like form until favorable conditions resume

Which, given they are halted before they can begin terraforming the earth, means those trapped in the rubble of their old base after Godzilla destroys it, will be there for a very, very long time.

I note this seems similar to the meteor form Ghidorah arrives in their original film. Perhaps their connection is closer than we think...

Brainstorming Xilien ideas

Design idea: Ideally less human looking like rarely seen true form of Final Wars but with the dorky fashion of the Showa era

I'm gonna take a gander at examining implications intentional and bad writing choices, and modernizing away from just "generic evil"...

possible Motivation: They want to turn Earth into a colony from which to extract resources and make use of its various kaiju. They also plan to reseed their barren planet with Earthly life or that of another potential colony they are eyeing. (They have their eyes on multiple planets, deciding which shall be the most efficient to strike first) To optimize for the new ecosystems they are experimenting with hybridizing themselves with humans and other Earthly life, but it is not their main goal. This is also being spun off to create a caste of overseers for the Earth colony in the meantime. It is likely many of the upper class plan to relocate to Earth.

Relationship with King Ghidorah: King Ghidorah has been an asset and a plague to their world. King Ghidorah is imperfectly controlled and has bursts of defiance and berserk behavior, sometimes leaving for centuries only to return and attack again until brought back under control. The controllers have been fine tuned over centuries with both sides adapting. There is speculation however that King Ghidorah may be also influencing the behavior of the Xiliens' by either corrupting their Grand Computers or themselves somehow.

Some believe King Ghidorah's focused attacks on their homeworld, has to do with Xilians commiting a great crime against the beast, or one of its kin. Legends say of a mysterious "Monster X" imprisoned somewhere on the planet....

Society: While outwardly dedicated to logic they are also quite spiritual, with shrines in public places. Many secretly have private prayers to King Ghidorah pleading for it to pass them by. While not condemned, worship of Ghidorah is not condoned either.

Nearly all decisions are made after consulting the grand computer network, that feigns impartiality, but the Controller has more influence than most realize. And like many ignorant humans towards a.i. , citizens often anthropomorphize the computer network. The Supercomputers may also not always properly communicating, leading to contradictory orders, especially if asked to keep a conversation secret by those querying it for advice. And after centuries the computers may not be working as efficiently.

The Xilien's lowest members of social rank are often forced to have surgery to be more pleasing for the higher ranks eyes, leading to lower classes looking more uniform in appearance.

Artificially induced telepathy plays a big role in social learning, and is used for emphasis in vocal communications. In this way outsiders may get the impression of much of conversations being left unsaid.
