I love how the first Goemon game for the SNES has very nice music that fits the specific part of Japan each level takes place in, then how its sequel just... doesn’t take itself seriously at all, so some of the music is just snotty easy-listening tunes that sound ridiculous on purpose
Aaah they released the first SNES Goemon game for the US Virtual Console !! I know it isn’t much, but it’s still a good thing !
I had almost forgotten that the Goemon series will turn 30 years old in 7 days and a few hours ! I really should draw something for it.
I take back everything I ever said, the English dub of the Goemon anime is the greatest thing in existence.
For Goemon: ☾ ☮ For Yae: ☆ൠ
☾ Goemon sometimes has trouble falling asleep, but knows what to do to calm himself : he either nibbles a spike of his hair or uses his pipe as a stuffed animal - the latter seems weird for most people, but he doesn’t care much.
☮ Goemon and cats is the best love story ever written. If there’s a cat in the room, he will need to pet it and carry it in his arms. If there’s people in the room too, he will walk around with the cat in his arms, silently showing off because he befriended the cat and they didn’t.
☆ Yae is the one who got Sasuke to stop feeling scared towards water, because he feared that it would damage him. She showed him her mermaid form and now he thinks it’s the best thing.
ൠ She surprisingly does not slap Goemon in the face when he begins to scream “ YAE FISH FISH FISH YAE “ and claps his hands, for no reason.
No seriously all I wanna do right now is to gush over Goemon. I know that’s just a fictional character but every drawing of him and music track from the games just melts my heart. It’s really nice to have a very favorite character like that, I think.
I don’t post about Goemon as much as I used to, but believe me this weird ninja thing is still the cutest character I ever saw.
