So, I'm still alive, lol, but busy AF (work, study; don't get me started)

Anyways, a quick late night doodle of Ganbare Goemon / Mystical Ninja. Of course, mainly Impact (of course 🥰) - in the original game style.

Apparently, I came across the fact that the kabuki robot (aka the lil red dot) appeared multiple times in the Ganbare Goemon universe.

Like wtf, stalker kabuki XD

It's beta, but still!

Wouldn't Imp grow tired AF of fighting off this guy over again?

Furthermore, for the first time, Baron!

And he's not happy being called weirdo :p

Also, Goemon has fluff hair.

And of course, Imp telling Goemon about his great plans about filming his movie in America 😄❤️

I imagine him like this when he's having the little dialog with Goemon 🥰, before he flies away. I didn't wanted him to leave as a small kid when I first played Mystical Ninja, lol XD

Just rewatched Clement's LP of this game and aunno this has such a great OST aunno. I also like how the OST seems to be remastered or something, like a uncompressed version or something, similar to Hideki Naganuma's "Digital Remakin'" of the Sonic Rush OST which the DS had similar limitations of 5th gen home consoles.

Also I love the back of the promo CD

2021 cross-stitch piece. I found the two character images online, and unfortunately I don’t know who the pixel artists were.

Mystical Ninja Starring Goemon is special to me since it’s what got me interested in the Japanese language, which had a massive impact (lol, get it) on my life. I love the character of Impact, the giant roller-skating robot in Edo-period Japan who’s a famous singer in France and a movie star in the US but who still makes time to smash evil when he’s called upon! His theme song just plain makes me happy, and let’s face it, we all need this kind of robust silliness in our lives.

At some point I had the thought that he would absolutely be bros with the King of All Cosmos, and then I realized that no one could stop me from cross-stitching that. So I did.

Making this piece is almost certainly the gayest thing I’ve ever done, and I’ve had sex with other men.
