Ghosts of hazel valley
Chapter one: Welcome to hell!
Bethany opened her locker and placed her bag on the hook, then grabbing her geometry book.
“Yo, Beth!“ Jacob yelled as he ran up to her with a book, making her turn around to face the boy her age. “Look at what I got!~“ he said in a sing songy tone as he held it with both hands. ’Paranormal secrets of Hazel Valley’ said the title.
“Cool!“ She shut her locker door and walked up closer to get a better look. “Where did you get it?“
“My dad found it in a barns and noble and gave it to me.“ he said in an excited tone. “I can't wait to show it to the others!“
“Lucky! I've begged my mom to take me to look for one of those.“ she rolled her eyes.
“What about your stepdad?“
“D’know. Haven't asked him, actually.“
“Why not?“
Bethany shrugged. “I'll probably ask him later.“
Before Jacob could say anything, he looked behind Bethany and saw what looked like twin siblings down the hall. He hasn't seen them before, so.. they must be the new kids?
“Hey, look.“ he pointed behind her and put his hand down once she turned to look.
“Hm?“ she looked at them a little better than Jacob did. They were, in fact, twin siblings. A girl and a boy with dark skin. The girl, with longer curly hair, dressed in average clothing, a long sleeved dark grey shirt with a purple moon on it, light blue jeans, and red and white shoes somewhat like converse. The boy, with shorter curly hair, dressed in a more punk like style, a grey shirt with red writing, a blue-ish jean jacket over it, grey jeans and black boots. They stopped at their lockers to get their things for their class.
“Woah..“ Bethany said, finding herself liking their fashion sense. Especially the punk one.
“Hey, Jake, why don't we tell them hi?“ she slightly nudged him. “Maybe get him into our whole paranormal group thing!“
“Beth, I don't know-“ before he could say anything, she was already walking to the twins, excited to talk to them. “And shes going. Okay then.“ Jacob begrudgingly followed her to them.
She walked up to the two, Jacob right behind her, while the girl grabbed her books and shut the locker.
“Hi!“ Bethany smiled as the two turned to sew who it was. “You guys new?“
“Yeah?“ the boy answered, raising his brow and tone somewhat wary. “What about it?“
“Welcome to hell, you're gonna love it.“ Jacob sarcastically said, making Bethany nudge his shoulder. “What? It's the truth!“
“Anyways, I'm Bethany, and this is Jacob. Welcome to Hazel Vally high.“
“Thanks.“ the girl smiled. “I'm Lexi, and this is my brother, Alex.“
“Hey.“ Alex leaned against his locker.
“It's nice to meet you, Lexi!“ Bethany exclaimed.
“Nice to meet you too, Bethany!“ Lexi pulled out a paper. “Hey um, can you tell us where room 4B is?“ she asked, handing Bethany the paper.
“Oh, you have geometry first period?“ Bethany asked, Jacob hovering over her shoulder to see the paper.
“Yep! Math's not my favorite.. but better over with than not at all I guess.“ Lexi awkwardly scratched her head.
“You and me both, I fucking hate math.“ Jacob shrugged, chuckling.
This got a small giggle out of Alex. Until now, he didn't really smile much. “Don't know anyone who actually likes it, heh.“ he said.
“Paige does.“ Bethany handed the paper back to Lexi. “Looks like we’re classmates!“
“Great.“ Alex stood up from the locker.
“Yeah, just follow us, we were actually on our way.“ Jacob said, walking to the class room. “You'll like Mr Richards, hes cool.“
The four walked to class, none of them noticing the blue glowing orb following them..
