synopsis: taking a trip to South Korea and somehow managing to catch the same flight as the famous Jeon Jungkook was sheer luck. but getting off the plane to a virus outbreak that has turned half the city into flesh eating zombies was not; but hey, at least you were stuck with the golden maknae. now, you two must battle through a zombie infested Seoul, to get to Daejeon where safety and survivors are promised.

warnings: graphic descriptions of blood, gore, character deaths but not really major?, angst heavy angst, horror, reader is the generic damsel in distress at first, JK has to protect reader a lot lol, he’s kind of an ass at first but he warms up, there’s fluff but not like.. your basic description of it, heavy sexual tension throughout the story, heavy petting, kissing at weird times, hand holding cause anxiety, JK has to reassure and baby the reader a lot, smut at the end cause you deserve it LOL (i’ll add the smut warnings when the story comes out). Writing this for my baby Rose; she deserves something good n long to read during her quarantine.

Something felt wrong. It was so quiet, and the first class cabin seemed to be deserted. You nudge Jungkook, shrugging your shoulder and shaking him, your voice quiet, “Jungkook”, you whisper. He doesn’t budge. After a few more failed attempts, he finally arises, groggily grunting into your neck before looking up at you, “What is it?

“We’re landed. But something’s wrong, the plane is empty, I think”, and he perks up at that, looking around. Once he takes in the atmosphere and scene, he peeks his head out of the little chamber before closing the door shut and  muttering, “Yeah.. I think the plane is empty. Why wouldn’t they wake us up”, he asks quietly.

You don’t answer him, instead pulling out your phone. Immediately you notice that you have no service at all. You can’t call anyone, and text messages weren’t sending. That’s weird.

Unbuckling your seat belt as quietly as you can, you slide out of your seat and crouch down to the floor. “What’re you doing”, Jungkook asks, unbuckling his own seat belt and leaning over your seat to look out the window. It’s almost dark outside. ‘It’s night time here’, he thinks to himself, his eyes wandering up to the sky. There’s a hint of smoke in the distance, almost like multiple fires are burning. His lower lip is sucked between his teeth when he feels the plane shake, like something’s exploded nearby.

You fall back against his legs with the force, hissing quietly as you bump your knee on his steel toe boots. Looking up at him, you tap his thigh, eyes laced in confusion, “What the hell was that”. He shrugs, “I’m not sure, but it was close. It seems like the city is on fire, there’s a lot of smoke in the sky”.

You’re about to speak before you hear a loud, bone-chilling scream before it’s cut short.

Now that was close.

Panic starts to set in, you don’t know what’s happening. Your anxiety bubbles over but before you can utter anything to Jungkook, there’s a loud pop and you cower.

That had to be a gunshot. What the fuck is happening?
