Finally got to play with varnish. It didn’t work out. I think between the wrong type of brush, too thick a coat of varnish, and cheap paint it cracked the top layer of pain in the pattern of the brush stroke. I think we’re going to make this a gift. I like this varnish. It has a high gloss, almost mirror finish. It was also my first try at liquid varnish. I think I may have to wait 30 days for the paint to set next time.
