this one article abt godzilla vs kong mentions something called apex and im like :) hm :) right
the most interesting godzilla in my opinion is the 2001/gmk godzilla, simply for the fact that version of him formed from the spirits of japanese soldiers that died in ww2 and were coming back to get revenge on modern day japan (at that time, it was 2002 in the movie) for forgetting about them and ignoring the past.

context: mechagodzilla 3 (kiryu) was built around the oh godzillas skeleton and when they were being revealed in godzilla against mechagodzilla godzilla showed up, they send them in, godzilla roars in pain mid fight and it triggers kiryus memories as the og godzilla and they go nuts, we lovingly called this beserk mode i think
so whos idea was it to be like okay lets build the mech AROUND the skeleton because GAM was wildin w that
