Roller Coaster Tycoon Classic: Megaworld Park
I love this park because my favorite activity in RCT is to restore parks. This is truly the worst designed park in roller coaster tycoon history. Was this park always money-free?
All of the work is basically done for you in this park, all you have to do is beef it all up? Add a bunch of bathrooms and drink stalls. A lot more handymen and mechanics, and fix a couple pathways. Since it’s unlimited money people come in regardless if the park is good which means even if I sit here and do nothing I’ll still reach my goal. This park is made to have 8-10k people in it. This park is easy. I finished it in 1 year.
These coaster designs are easily some of the worst in the game, they don’t make sense, they’re uninteresting, and they all need to be redone. There’s a large open space in the center of the park where a roller coaster used to be, a steel mini coaster when they had the steep drops, clearly that doesn’t work anymore, so I assume Chris Sawyer just took it out, so I will replace it with a famous launched giga coaster.
I’ve been doing a complete 100% remodel of this park, the goal is the keep every single ride in the park, never to demolish, but always to provide a 100% face lift, which usually means building rides from the ground up. This park is rough but I know I can make it beautiful.
The biggest most major issue in this park is overcrowding, currently I have 8,700 guests in my park, and 2,000 of them are saying there’s overcrowding, yet none of them leave. The other issues are that because this is RCT1, all of the rides built in the park are medium to low capacity. No 3 train twister coasters, no 6 train giga coasters. Another issue is the 1-wide paths, creating tiny pathways through the park with no escape, the paths need to be widened in most places, the queues lengthened, and the rides beefed to include better capacity.
This park is insane. The longer time goes the more difficult and intense it gets. I had to hire 48 entertainers and 50 security guards to keep this park up and running. Crowds everywhere, but it turned out to be a very pretty park that looks insanely different from the original. I finished Megaworld Park with well over 10,800 guests, 58 rides, including 26 coasters.
