He must have dozed off for a while because when something in the air shifts he bolts awake. He pushes himself up and looks over to the other two in the room. Morgana’s back is arched and his hair stands on end. Futaba is frozen next to him and Akira follows her gaze to the attic window. Through the frosted panes, he can make out a figure right outside.
The window jostles in its frame. Akira goes for his knife.
It slides open and he can’t help freezing in place. Because it’s Goro Akechi stepping through the open window and slamming it closed. It’s Goro Akechi standing at the foot of the mattress, red eyes ablaze.
