BASEL 16
This past weekend was one of the biggest weekends in miami, as it opened its doors to hundreds of artist and enthusiasts for Art Basel. This by far had to be the best Basel’s out of all the years not only were the artist dope but, there were also a bunch of concerts including the opener of the weekend. Pusha T kicked off the weekend with a concert for Adidas and a live Q&A as well broadcasted through adidas Facebook fan page. Where they ended up giving away 1000 pairs of the Adidas EQT’s made exclusively for that weekend as well as releasing Pusha T’s new shoe the Primeknit Boost King Push EQT! Even Ronnie Fieg was in the mix by opening his new store on South Beach as well as the release of the SoleFly Basel 16s.
With all the festivities it was a great time to be in Miami. I was more concerned with some of my favorite artist at Scope (The WhiteTent ⛺️ On The Beach). Since I can’t walk due to an injury I had my partner in crime Steve Mannchyld take pics for me so I wouldn’t miss anything. The art I did miss fully were the pieces done by Keith Morton. His snakes skin basketballs were exhibited at a Mister E’s #GOLDBASEL. Super mad I missed that amazing show. Anyway one piece I was geeked to see a pic of were the Swarovski Crystalized Nike Air Jordan One’s by Daniel Jacobs! Man at $75,000 a pop this a sneaker heads Dream investment. Personally I think jordan needs to buy one or all of them. The art I was surprised about were the hand drawings of the jordans by FIELDS. Man! Now I need at least one on my wall but it has to be a Nike Air Python! lol! I was also excited about Mesple’s exhibit with his mug shot gummy bears and also the luxury basketball hoops by Victor Solomon. I received a few pics of the exhibit but from the FaceTime from Steve the show looked amazing. I hope you enjoy these pics above and below as much as I do. I know next year I’m not planning on missing out on anything!
