@goldbely is awesome! Look at all the stuff we can get! #chocolatecake #phillycheesesteak #totoro #unique #food #goldbely #homedelivery
These arrived today and there are tears - TEARS - of joy. Let’s not discuss the absolutely ridiculous amount of $$ I spent on shipping because - YOLO. The only thing that would have made them better is if it was an entire box of rose ones.
Aww shucks! Thanks pals! #Repost @goldbely with @repostapp ・・・ We're beyond excited to help our chef crush @johnnyiuzzini launch his new bean-to-bar chocolate just in time for #MothersDay 🍫❤️🚀 Johnny does it all - the sourcing of the beans, the sorting, the roasting, winnowing, pre-refining, refining, conching, molding, packaging AND even the shipping! His passion for chocolate making truly shows in every bite and sets a new bar in the chocolate 🌎🌎🌎. Tap link in @goldbely bio to order some for Mom for Mother's Day !!! #dontsaywedidntwarnyou #goldbely #foodexplorers 🚀 (at Pkt America)

Goldbely is a food delivery service from unique shops and boutiques all over the US.
For example I just ordered a cake and cookies from Milk Bar in NYC as a Valentines Day surprise for myself! #selflovestrong
Anywho I don't get anything from sharing this but figured I’d post it in case someone needs to get anything for Vday or whatever.
Dad sent me a care package from Pittsburgh :)

Starting at a Start Up.
Unless you live under a rock, chances are you know that the start-up bug has been flying around the Silicon Valley for quite some time now. In this city, if you strike up a conversation at the bar, more often than not they're either working for a start-up or have an idea that's "going to be HUGE!" Well this week, I finally got a chance to dip my fingers into the start-up pie, and boy is it sweet.
I'm working for the month of December at Goldbely, a gourmet food start-up that delivers the best in gourmet food to anyone in the nation. I'm only on my second day, but it's easily the tastiest job I've ever worked for. Already in the last 48 hours, I've tried everything from Alaskan smoked salmon to North Carolina's most popular sweet potato pie. There's a box of pralines from Savannah sitting on my desk, and racks of baby back ribs with a whole bottle of BBQ sauce from Salt Lake chilling on ice just a few steps away. And for lunch, I had a giant lobster roll from a great sandwich dip place in SF. It's becoming a really good thing that I walk everywhere...
Goldbely is located in SoMa and is comprised of an in-house team of 6-8 (and that's including me!). Contributing to such a huge project with so few people has been such a fascinating experience; I'm just trying to soak it all in. I regularly eat lunch with the co-founders and crack jokes with the CEO, who is now following me on Twitter (thanks, Joe!). On my first day, I researched and wrote copy for various food products and it was uploaded and live on the webpage in minutes. Because it's the holiday season, orders are coming in quickly and everyone is hauling butt to make this the most successful season that Goldbely has seen yet. Essentially, that means that we start at 9 and go until the work for the day is done, whether that be at 7 or midnight. It honestly feels like I'm in a different version of DBC.
Though this is just temporary, I'm so thankful to have a little bit of start-up experience under my belt. I've already had a friend approach me about building our own start-up, so it'll be awesome to be able to contribute some first-hand business knowledge if we ever get our product idea out of our minds and onto the web.
Commit Update: Broke my longest GitHub streak today! Been committing to GitHub for a full week now, and refusing to lose steam. As for my 30-day jQuery streak, that didn't exactly ever start... But with the new job and my impending interviews, studying APEX and Visualforce has taken understandable precedence.
