This week I went to see Oliver Twist the musical, all excited, only to realize when I got there that I had him confused with Sweeney Todd and I was, indeed, not about to watch a guy kill some other guys for two hours. Truly embarrassing stuff. Are you usually good with names, or are you prone to confuse them like me? What about with faces? And voices?
Oh boy! Me and names are not a good combination. It's not so much that I confuse names and more that I straight up forget them, even when I don't mean to. I've had students that have gone by "you" the whole year because it was info that was just not going into my brain.
The worse example of this is with street names. I don't know why, but except with a couple of exceptions, I just don't remember their names. I remember what's in them, and if you give me reference points to get to them I have no problems. But the names just elude me.
On the other hand I think I'm really good with faces and voices. I've always been good at recognising singers, even if they are doing covers, and I'm the kind of annoying nerd capable of recognising a secondary actor I saw in an episode of a completely different show five years earlier
