Ingredients: 1 lb calamari rings and tentacles. 1 cup all-purpose flour. 1 tsp garlic powder. 1 tsp paprika. 1/2 tsp salt. 1/4 tsp black pepper. 1 cup buttermilk. Vegetable oil for frying. Lemon wedges for serving. Chopped parsley for garnish.
Instructions: In a shallow dish, mix together flour, garlic powder, paprika, salt, and black pepper. Pour buttermilk into another shallow dish. Dip calamari rings and tentacles into buttermilk, then dredge them in the flour mixture, shaking off excess. Heat vegetable oil in a deep fryer or large skillet to 375F 190C. Fry calamari in batches for 2-3 minutes or until golden brown and crispy. Remove fried calamari and drain on paper towels. Serve hot with lemon wedges and garnish with chopped parsley. Enjoy!
