This Spicy Garlic Tofu recipe offers a perfect combination of bold flavors with a kick of spice. The tofu is marinated in a savory and spicy sauce, then pan-fried to golden perfection. It's a versatile dish that can be enjoyed as a main course or a side dish.
Ingredients: 400g firm tofu, pressed and cubed. 3 cloves garlic, minced. 2 tablespoons soy sauce. 1 tablespoon sriracha sauce. 1 tablespoon maple syrup. 1 tablespoon sesame oil. 1 teaspoon chili flakes. 1 teaspoon ginger, grated. 2 green onions, thinly sliced. 1 tablespoon sesame seeds, for garnish. Cooking oil, for frying.
Instructions: In a bowl, mix soy sauce, sriracha sauce, maple syrup, sesame oil, chili flakes, and grated ginger to make the marinade. Add cubed tofu to the marinade and let it marinate for at least 15 minutes. Heat cooking oil in a pan over medium heat. Add minced garlic to the pan and saut until fragrant. Add marinated tofu to the pan, reserving excess marinade. Cook tofu until golden brown on all sides, stirring occasionally. Pour the remaining marinade over the tofu and stir well to coat. Cook for an additional 2-3 minutes until the sauce thickens and coats the tofu. Garnish with sliced green onions and sesame seeds before serving.
