Goldpavilion was founded by the Individuality of the 12 Dancing Princesses. The story goes that the princesses used their individual talents to save their father from a plot to overthrow him from a greedy relative.
The dorm resembles the palace that the princesses lived in, complete with a large dining room, garden, and a large dance hall where parties are held throughout the year. In every room, there is an inlay that has the flowers that represented each princess.
Unlike the other dorms, the students sleep with twelve to a room, regardless of age or school year. The oldest student is usually the one in charge of the dorm room.
Across a small pond is the Golden Pavilion, where the dorm gets it name from. For three nights every year, the Pavilion is accessible via magical golden boats. The rest of the year, the Pavilion is inaccessible. The Pavilion is home to magical plants, including trees with gold, silver, and diamond leaves.
