Oh my God.

I just overheard my dad telling my mom about this one time way back when he was out golfing with his coworkers... I don’t know if it’s even POSSIBLE to make this up - he claims it’s true.

So... you know how sometimes stray wildlife gets out onto the fairway where predators are few and grazing and bug-hunting is good, yeah? So there was this small bird out there, and somehow one of my dad’s drives manages to smack the poor thing right in the head. He also managed to rebound his ball at one point off of one of the marker flagpoles out on the green; my dad does not play golf often and is clearly pretty poor at it.

And that’s when I hear him say “That was the first time in the same game I ever got a birdie and a pole in one.”

... I kinda’ wish I was the bird right now.

my cousin is trying to decide what phrase his golf team will put on their jackets or shirts or whatever and most of them are really cheesy stuff like “Eat Sleep Golf Repeat” but at the very end of the list he wrote “Bring On the Par-Tee” and I just had to sit down for five minutes to recover from it

My dad is a real golf but I go play with him sometimes and he's watching The Masters right now which is like the Super Bowl of golf and he says tiger keeps landing in the rough (which is the tall grass on the side, it's hard to get out of) and I thought to myself "I guess he really likes it ROUGH"
