(NIV) Genesis 7.7 - And Noah and his sons and his wife and his sons’ wives entered the ark to escape the waters of the flood.

This is it. The end of earth itself. I would think that there would be a new sense of hope to go along with some remorse for everything that would be lost as well. The journey in between may be telling of how things may be afterwards.

(NIV) Genesis 5.21 - When Enoch had live 65 years, he became the father of Methuselah.

The meaning of the name Methuselah has been described by “Jones’ Dictionary of Old Testament Proper Names” has been read as ‘When He Is Dead It Shall Be Sent’. This seemingly foreshadows some sort of influential change that will happen after he dies. How this will effect generations that might come from him is the real question that comes from this. I wonder how Enoch’s relatively young age during the birth of his son will come into play with this concept.
