I saw the Dracula ballet at the opera yesterday and since I'm a lost cause to Chack ship, this is what I produced.

A very original AU where Chase is a vampire and he's feeding on Jack's blood.

And Jack, before he gets turned into a vampire himself, is a young, selfish and greedy lord and only looks like a good!Jack.

I needed an excuse to make Chase look paler. XD

    Raijack isn’t something I usually write so why not?I find good!Jack both terrifying  and  charming     at the same time. But what can I say? I’m weak for allthe Jacks out there.

It was funny how at the beginning the thing that mattered him most was who of them was going to be the leader of their group. Those times seemed so distant now, so innocent, so childish… At the end, who was the leader didn’t matter at all; They were defeated in the worst way, painful in both physical and emotional ways. Their pride utterly destroyed, just like the world.

And it hurt.

Oh boy, it really hurt.

Everybody suffered so much; Enemies turned into friends, friends were lost  in the way… So many sacrificed themselves for the sake of others, for the sake of the world… And they failed them.

He failed them all.

Rai was sure everybody felt like him deep inside, but each day was harder  to keep those dark feelings inside. He would have given up long ago if it weren’t for his friends.

And Jack.

He— He was his friend too, of course, but also… Time ago, when even Jack (Jack Spicer the obnoxious boy genius) had to make a sacrifice for their sake, Rai swore he was going to pay the favor back and keep him safe, which had not been easy at al; While normal Jack had the habit of running  away  from danger, the new good Jack did the opposite, ran straight  to danger,  if that meant helping his friends. 

Which, of course, always ended in a lot of serious injuries that Jack always minimized for their sake. But Rai didn’t buy the lies anymore. He did at the beginning, used to being lied at by him, but now? No. He could read Jack pretty well, he could see the pain in his eyes… And he hated it.

Maybe it was because he (and everybody else) had lost enough already, or because Jack was a their dear friend now, but Rai couldn’t stand seeing him in danger, or in pain.

Chase asked him to keep an eye on the redhead but the dragon of the wind had been doing that for a while, watching him closely when he went to pick flowers or help Clay with the corn or when he was just there, staring absently at the sky, with the wind messing with his long, bright and  soft  red hair…

“Rai?”

“Mhn?”

“I made a special crown of flowers for you.”

Yes, Rai was just paying back a favor, he was just doing what Chase asked him to do, he was just making sure a friend was safe and unharmed… That his chest warmed with each smile Jack gave him and his hands sweated whenever Jack got close to him had absolutely  nothing  to do with anything, no.

Jack kissed his cheek after putting the crown on his head and Rai smiled, thinking that maybe, just maybe, the fact that his face were burning could meant something else.
