I like it! I also try not to drink too much of it at a time- humans really weren’t made to digest lactate- but it tastes good and I like it fairly well

We must also be able to appreciate the simplicity of a Rum & Cola or a Cubalibre!

● But what is the difference between the two?

(Well mainly it is the rum, the Cubalibre needs white rum, so:)

• White rum

• Lime

• Cola

Easy easy indeed, but watch out for doses so as not to make it too alcoholic or too sweet!

● To be honest I would like to make a small parenthesis on the origins of Cubalibre:

• In 1898, after a war fought between the United States and Spain, Cuba became independent of the motherland.

Immediately the goods Made in USA arrived to the island and, among the first, the newborn CocaCola.

It would seem that the Cubalibre was born on that occasion, in the early 1900s, from the fusion of Cuban rum and cola.

• The sources are varied and unclear: was an American soldier who invented it, toasting "Por Cuba libre!" (For free Cuba!) Or was a Cuban bartender who first created it and was later called like the revolutionary newspaper "Cuba Libre"?

Was a variation of the Daiquiri, a Daiquiri with cola? a variation of rum with caramel?

There are many variations of this simple and lovely cocktail that, in its simplicity, blends a bit of history with a few drops of freshness!
