Isn't it funny
how you can read a good book over and over again, and learn something different, see something new, discover a completely different angle, each time?
It's like people, in that way. That's why I love books.
I must have read "Flipped" by Wendelin Van Draanen at least a dozen times in middle school, to the point where my mom begged me to stop taking it out of the library because I was hogging it from other kids; for Christmas, my parents each bought me a copy (but one of them got it autographed,) so I somehow ended up having two copies on my bookshelf (I won't mention which parent got me the better copy.) ;) Every time I read "Flipped," I'm awestruck, enlightened, amazed at how many meanings a single word, a single phrase, can hold, and how well it timelessly applies, the many different ways it can be interpreted, and its ability to reflect how much I've changed through my interpretations of it, over the years.
This is my favourite children's book in the entire world (and the movie does do it justice).
