While deep sea diving in the web archive I stumbled upon some neat bits of Kingdom Hearts fandom history, like this— what may be the first ever “Riku is Gay” essay (in English).

The first snapshot of the page is from 26th November 2002, just after the international release of KH. Soriku really been out here since day 1…

The purple prose dates it a lot but I didn’t notice any blatant Kairi bashing, which is impressive. It’s interesting that Riku’s complicated feelings for Sora have been documented even as early as 2002, pointing to the same subtext fans discuss even 20 years later.

i'm not working on forsaken anymore + self aware forsaken au is discontinued

i'm sorry if this disappoints or saddens any of you guys, but at this point, I'd rather be straightforward and be honest about how i'm feeling instead of forcing myself to write for something i've lost interest months ago.

this post will be long, however, TLDR (acronym for "too long didn't read") will be provided at the very end. this will basically discuss why i won't write for forsaken, where i've been, and what i'll do with this account now in the undercut

Why I won't Write for Forsaken Anymore

To be honest, my interest in Forsaken was slowly dwindling ever since the March 18th incident in 2025 (if you guys didn't know or forgot: honestly i'm writing this based on my memory and a quick google search, but basically, souldrivenlove, former owner of forsaken, was exposed for being a pedophile, doxxer and racist, things soul did while being 13 years old) (but i assume we already know what's happened to soul now). I know this doesn't really count as like. the first ever controversy (i think it was when the dream game skins got removed and it was because the fandom got too horny apparently), but even then, finding out that a (former) creator working on your favorite game was a pedophile, is NOT a good feeling.

I immediately felt stumped about this, and I questioned whether I should continue working on my AU for not. I eventually decided that I would try (keyword: TRY) to continue it, despite this, I felt a little uneasy about this whole situation

(Keep in mind that this is before the allegations were confirmed to be true, so i REALLY was debating about whether i should continue my au or not)

Soul being a pedophile eventually was confirmed (I remembered soul sending nudes to a minor), and that was basically where my interest in that game was fading, even under a new ownership, I felt empty. I was shocked, sad, a little angry, but I just felt. empty. Like.

I genuinely enjoyed that game back then. I had fun (there were definitely sweats back then but they weren’t as annoying as today), loved syncing emotes with the people in the lobby (I had screenshots), met some funny people, bro that was like the golden era. And then everything went to shit when soul got called out for doing heinous shit.

I flat out stopped playing the game when I found out that Soul is still involved in the game, just under a new account. And Soul is getting 25% revenue off of that game. (I don’t care if it’s not real money, I AM NOT SUPPORTING A GAME WHERE A LITERAL FUCKING PEDOPHILE IS STILL INVOLVED IN IT.)

That moment is where I decided that I should just. Playing Forsaken. But the problem is, I still had a lot of things planned for my au. I planned on having a story based on my au (it planned to have like… around chapters 15-20ish? But it was more than ten chapters), concept skins based on my au (I had a LOT for player, however most were just rangeful of tv shows and game references, but others were based on aesthetics like scene or gyaru player. The rest were like…matching skins. I wanted to draw a little skin design for Noob and player, where it was basically just both Noob n player being sailor moon characters. Noob was usagi, player was tuxedo mask, you know the gist. Two time was originally gonna be usagi but I later decided noob would fit better) But every controversy means every of my plans is getting delayed, and just. Eventually not getting made.

My mental health is honestly not going.. really well. School was kicking my ass lately, and I kept procrastinating on my schoolwork. Right now, my chemistry grade is on life support (71% on it rn and I bombed that one chem test I am NOT feeling good), I got a project to present on Monday (on spring break rn), have to take a permit test, just everything. I did feel drained out, tired, and just wanted to sleep forever. At one point, I thought about just shooting myself in the head because of school, especially with my chemistry grade and final exams coming later. All of this shit going on, I really didn’t felt like answering any of the questions. My mental health is also not going well because of where I live rn (don’t you just love it when a rotten moldy ass knock off annoying orange guy is your president and is currently getting rid of ANYONE that isn’t like him, gee golly 😍😍🥰🥰 /s) however, I won’t be getting into detail about it.

I feel like some of you guys know that I genuinely did not expect one of my posts to blow up, and while I appreciate the support and love you guys given me, I feel like I got… overwhelmed? HOWEVER, that doesn’t mean that I didn’t like it, your support is the reason I’m still doing strong after all. It’s just that the amount of asks I got was like, overwhelming me. (and it didn’t help that some people sent more asks, even if I haven’t posted for a while.)

I won’t write for forsaken anymore, because I lost interest in it months ago, especially during the first controversy and the latest one where soul is still involved in that game. Trust me, I really, really, wanted to continue my self aware forsaken au, and tried to separate the art from the artist (just not playing the game and just writing it). However, trying to write for something I’ve lost interest in like months ago is like waiting for a corpse to cross a finish line in a marathon run. It’s just not happening.

This does mean that any asks related to forsaken is deleted. I’m really sorry for this, but I’m doing this for my sanity at this point. Unfollow me, curse me out or something, but just know that I’m doing this for the sake of my mental health.

Where I have Been

Ik I already said this before, but this will be brief. My mental health’s still pretty bad, but I’m trying to manage it by doing things I love: drawing and making crafts instead of just doomscrolling or playing video games. Just little things. (I’ve also been reading TMNT x reader fanfics lately to cope with it, but shhh..)

Basically a rundown, I went to a friend’s birthday party, went to a food market with my sister and also bought some few vintage rings, went to some museums, I won an art contest, basically that’s all I can remember. Just me living. I think this is it?? So let’s just move on.

Basically the state of this account (what I would do now, would I still write and if so, what fandoms I would write, etc.)

I won’t be writing about forsaken anymore, that’s something you guys know. However, that doesn’t mean it’s the end of this account.

I planned on writing a self aware pressure au, but with the recent situation going on, yea no.

I’m also getting into some other Roblox games, like guts and black powder (FYI: I only played the game like. Once. But that was before I knew anything about fez, so I’m not playing the game anymore, even if I only played it once.) and project remix

I wanted to write something small for gnb, just another self aware au and also a reverse Isekai where the npcs end up in our world. However, knowing what fez did and how the gnb fandom is like…. Predominantly cis male-dominated, idk mannn. Probably might do it though, because I feel like a starving homeless Victorian child everytime time I look into the gnb x reader tag.)

HOWEVER, I kinda wanna write a self aware au for phighting and blocktales, so be on the lookout. I also kinda wanna do it for gnb too, but idk, probably’s not a right time rn.

Honestly, the only fandoms I’m willing to write for rn is blocktales, phighting, and a new fandom added, project remix (AND ALSO REGRETAVTPR AND MELEENAICS!!) but mostly phighting.

I will still like forsaken posts (majority of it being x reader), maybe some few reblogs of forsaken here and there.

But other than that, I’m not writing for forsaken anymore, and my self aware forsaken au is discontinued. This blog will just go back to reblogs, my ramblings, and some drawings and writings for other Roblox fandoms (most will be x reader content tho)

TLDR: not gonna write for forsaken anymore because I lost interest and I don’t wanna support a pedophile and also because my mental health is going shit. I will write for other fandoms, thinking about phighting specifically and maybeee gnb, but still debating about gnb.
