misty quigley haters are PISSING ME OFF. here's how the black box worked
convo with a friend of mine he's super big into planes and this can all be fact checked i'm SURE. tldr: the black box is used to RECORD communication and helps in crash investigations so they can determine what went wrong and prevent future crashes. black boxes are NOT used as a gps.
(if you care, ELTs are used as a gps. google what it looks like if you want, it looks nothing like the black box. the two items can be combined in some aircrafts but to get really technical, the closest we could get to determining the plane type (by looking at the cockpit and windows) is that it's definitely a 737, which didn't use combined ELTs+black boxes. it's not a real plane, as some of the things in the cockpit are changed to make it look older)
so when misty destroyed the black box, she destroyed evidence of HOW THE PLANE CRASHED, not where the plane crashed and how to find the plane. if anything, what misty destroyed is the answer to the question of "is the wilderness a real magical force that caused a plane crash".
to raise the point, did misty mean to destroy the ELT except she accidentally didn't it so technically her crime is just as bad either way? i don't care she's sixteen guys. cowabunga!
