They literally treat these people as prophets just because they are capable of talking about PR with them and aren’t fazed with the Larrie tantrums and mood swings.

They think she was “shut down” but was an attempt to sway the fandom.

Sway the fandom to what? Controlled by whom? It’s been what, 2-3 years since they popped up and nothing has happened that they predicted? Why would the fandom need to be swayed in this way? Why would anyone bother with anything like this? Why the hell would they be shut down?

Larries are just so narcissistic. They have to believe Larrie are trying to converse with them by any means they decide and validate their obsession and investment in their relationship, so long as it makes them feel important and involved.

Where are we in the coming out?

GBA outlined a plan for a coming out, so where are we in that progression?

1. We’ll see Eleanor quietly disappear before they issue a confirmation of a breakup between her and Louis.

Notes on Step 1: Articles were widespread and then squashed by Zayn’s departure. They seemed to be attempting to name-build Eleanor as she was named dropped in most headlines.

2. Harry’s image will be slowly cleaned up in the papers, rumours of him with women stamped down, all connections to previous girlfriends severed. 

Harry and Women:

Nadine: Nadine Leopold ‘Dumps’ One Direction’s Harry Styles, Bonus points for calling into question the legitimacy of the relationship in the first place, allowing for a spin that’s positive towards Nadine and her career motivations.

Taylor:  

Austin Swift Shares Photo of Star-StuddedBillboard Music Awards Afterparty, Linked other 1D members with Taylor rather than Harry. Avoided furthering the connection, but demonstrates that they have mutual friends. 

Niall tweeting “Great times, Great people” with the picture of Taylor. Obviously meant for the 1D fans to demonstrate the lack of animosity between Taylor and 1D (so by extension, Taylor and Harry).

Awkward!  Harry Styles And Louis Tomlinson Travel To Australia Together For One Direction's OTRA Tour, Bonus points for the press that called out how separated they’ve been for how long.

b. Louis at Harry’s birthday? Bonus points for Sugarscape pointing out the “Louis was eating nearby, yet we didn’t get proof” calling attention to the sketchiness of the situation. 

c. I believe there was a songwriting session hinted at? I could drag up links but I’m pretty sure it was hinted at/quasi confirmed.

4. then Harry and Louis will be seen on an arranged outing (lunch, shopping, something like that) and photographed by a hired pap. Those pictures will appear in The Sun or The Mail in an article speculating on a possible relationship, other media outlets will pick it up from there and run with it. 

5. Eventually they’ll confirm, give an interview, and then it’s all done with.

Where are we? 

6/21. I’d say that we are about halfway through phase 3. We’re going to get continuous hints about them (and their families). Public profiles will continue to be raised/cleaned up, we’ll continue seeing them together in a strictly work capacity (Wheel Larrow, stage interactions) which I specifically did not include here. I debated Lairport, but because it would have been so easy to fly separately, I decided that it fell under the “personal time” umbrella. 

And some notes:

A. This is written under the assumption that goodbyeadulthood was a plant, or that her plan for a coming out was in general alignment with 1DHQ’s plan. (Underlying assumption is that H and L are partners and 1DHQ is actively planning a coming out).

B. If you have tags, masterposts, or anything that I missed, PLEASE send it to me, the more comprehensive this is, the better idea we’ll have.

Plenty of people are convinced GBA was an Azoff plant for whatever reasons but aren't even noticing that half of what she said isn't even happening. She said Elounor would break up before a coming out which I'm positive isn't going to happen,and she also said HL would be in a glass closet for OTRA tour b/c Azoff is taking over but LMAO...just 2 months ago was Louis straight tweet. Yes they are standing next to each other but that isn't a glass closet, they still don't talk, so GBA has been wrong

I actually were one of the few people never solved with the idea of her being a plant (I think the hypothesis of bloggers just trying to become Tumblr famous is always too easily dismissed) but after hearing the personal reasons some blogs had to be convinced (it’s not for me to share them, though) i was quite on board.

Said that, we’re saying she was likely a pant, not Nostradamus, so it’s  also possible some strategies are going to change, depending on public’s reaction.

Still, i think Elounor could break up before a coming out, and i also think we could see a glass closet for Otra (i didn’t know she said that .. we actually agree!) because you’re right, it’s not a glass closet yet, but everything has already changed a lot, and it can keep on changing. (6 months ago it was impossible to imagine next to you, touching, serenading all the time etc..)

So, i don’t think we can legitimaly say she was wrong. Still maybe she was not a plant after all. Time will tell.

Definitely! How convenient, wasn't it?

Goodbyeadulthood taught the fandom how to spot a coming out/seeding process in the works, and when everyone was talking about it, she disappeared. Was her mission accomplished?

(Let me play the peacock, though. I was talking about a journey to a coming out, since February 2014, and a lot of my friends were doing it too, but I swear i am not a plant :P)

I'm obviously very late to the party, but what was the whole thing with goodbyeadulthood?

Oh...she was a blogger who burst onto the scene as "PR Anon" on diggingandfluff 's blog, on which she claimed to work in PR in London, and that she saw Harry and Louis acting like a couple at London Fashion Week. She then created a blog and had all sorts of interesting opinions and information on the entertainment industry. Because of the way she entered the fandom and her apparent knowledge about the industry, a lot of people thought she was a "white hat" plant from the Azoffs, sent to gather and provide information.

After a while, she disappeared. Not a fade-out either, one day she was blogging and the next she was just gone.

Personally, I would be very wary of taking her work as gospel. It was all very interesting and informative, and there is certainly the possibility that she was sent for a certain purpose, but in any event I don't think that purpose was to give us a bunch of inside information. If she were a plant, she certainly wouldn't reveal anything secret or sensitive, and if she weren't, then she wouldn't even have access to inside information.
