Goodbye Is Hard

I have been a youth minister at one church for nearly 6.5 years. The Lord has recently called me to serve as a Student Ministry Pastor at another church. I am excited to start this next chapter in my life, but I am finding it hard to let go of where I am. I love my students and will miss them terribly. It hasn't fully hit me yet that I'm leaving, and I don't want to say goodbye.

Goodbyes

I have encountered many goodbyes in life. No matter how many times they have happened, saying goodbye is just never easy.

I believe everything happens for a reason and so does meeting new people; anyone who enters your life gives you a valuable lesson regardless of how good or bad of a person he/she is. There were people that I loved and there were also people who I disliked. However, among thousands of people that I have met so far, there was not even a single person that I did not learn something valuable. No matter who they were, there were always good things about them that made me reflect and remind myself. 

If someone who has once said hello is now saying goodbye, know that there is a reason behind this sad scene. There are 7 billions of people in the world and it is definitely not a coincidence that you met him/her among billions of others. Sometimes, life does not give you a definite answer to every incident. However, just know that it is happening for a reason and there will be a new hello in life again, just like how it has always been. After all, you do not have enough time to make good memories full of smiles. 

Remember, you are a lucky person to have someone that makes a goodbye really difficult.
