Goodbye Centennial and goodbye SPURS
Today was another day of goodbyes.
Nora and I went to Centennial Park to enjoy the phenomenal weather. And also, I needed a coffee :-) While we were walking around the park I thought back at all the times we've been in this park... many many MANY times. Its like our second home. We've been here for picnics, outdoor concerts, craft and food fairs, the ADA Step out Walk, training for my half marathon and much more. This is where me and Asgers had our first meet up with our mom group ;-) We met Ayla & Elin, Uyen & Jack and Jennifer & Owen for the first time. This is also where Peter, Asger and I had our very first family outing after coming home from the hospital. Needless to say, many miles have been walked in this park, lots of coffee has been consumed and many fun memories have been created :-)
Tonight I went for my last run with the SPURS. I haven't been there in a very long time, I think it has been 3 months? Embarrassing! I am in such bad shape. This was the hardest 3.2 miles I have ever run, pheew! It was good to see my running friends Joe, Cindy and Vanessa again. Vanessa and I talked the whole way and we agreed that the holidays are to blame for our bad shape, haha.
Goodbye Centennial Park and goodbye SPURS :-( I will miss running in a short sleeve t-shirt in January!
