This is it. Tonight is the final #OUAT episode. For today's "Goodbye @onceabcofficial" Memory I am jumping back to when I first met @lparrilla! I was had heard that she was going to be on Live, and I've never stage spores, nor had any clue how to. Still, I got the address, walked down to the bus to head into the city. I was so excited and nervous that I hadn't even slept. Also, I ended up getting sick right before the bus came... THAT hadn't happened to me since I started Junior High! I got to the building and ran into a girl that I had only known through Twitter. She and her sister were going inside, but something told me not to and so I didn't. After waiting what felt like an eternity Lana finally came out! I was so excited that I started to have an anxiety attack. I was hanging over the railing when I suddenly had these arms around me asking if I was okay... it was her. I'll never forget it. Nor will I forget how I went on a hunt for batteries and then came back just to have a very small group of us chilling outside the Chew! We were all so exhausted and when she came out she stayed quite a while with us just talking!!! I will not forget how Lana had to explain to a group of older women who she was... and they ended up knowing her from "Swingtown"! It was the cutest thing EVER!!! #goodbyeouat #onceuponatime
I couldn't do a "goodbye @onceabcofficial" memories without having this and the final one tomorrow popping up! Back in 2012 I had JUST moved to New York! I was a huge fan of the show and was just learning how to go and try to meet some of my favorite people. I had taken the bus into the city in hopes to meet someone else (that's tomorrow story) and in the process learned that @jenmorrisonlive was going to be at @bloomingdales for a FREE signing! I was suppose to be at work that day but took a chance. I did something I NEVER do and haven't since... I called out "sick". I joined the friends I had made that day and we walked over. We were about the fifth in line! I was so shocked seeing this person that I had only ever seen on tv standing in front of me! I had with me a pin I had made just earlier that day as I waited! JMo was so excited to receive it THAT SHE CLIPPED IT TO HER BELT "Because the outfit was really expensive" she signed my poster with "thank you Katie!" And that poster still hangs on my wall and that amazing day of taking a chance will ALWAYS stay with me! #onceuponatime #ouat #goodbyeouat
Today's "goodbye @onceabcofficial" memory: #NYCC has hosted the #OUAT panel every year and I had gone to most of them! Back when season 3 started it seemed as though Adam and Eddy were going to explore Emma Swan's Foster child story a little further. It was a part of Emma that I really connected to, even though I didn't care for anything else really about her. After the panel I rushed the stage like so many others and was able to tell #eddykitsis why it was so important that he told this story. I gave him his apple pin (which was funny because Adam and Jmo already had theirs and recognized me the second they saw me give him his! He said that he felt as though he was now in a secret society) And once I told him about my experience he held up the pin and told me he "would put the pin in his writing office and when he wrote Emma's backstory he would think of my backstory." I was so honored and overwhelmed and then thought "oh man, now I'm GONNA have to like Emma!" This year's #onceuponatime meetup was also so much fun and such a great turn out! Every year it felt as though the group got bigger and bigger, and through it I met some pretty amazing people and cosplayers!! #goodbyeouat
"Goodbye @onceabcofficial" Memory: Back in 2013 a group of us #Oncers met up and decided to go to the ABC Upfronts to represent our favorite show #onceuponatime. We had a blast just hanging out together! We were even lucky to meet @adamhorowitzla, one of the creators of #OUAT!!! Over all it was a pretty amazing day because after we just wondered the city! #GoodbyeOUAT #EvilRegals
I still can't believe this "Goodbye @onceabcofficial" memory actually happened! It was my birthday last year when I discovered that #BarbaraHershey aka #CoraMills aka one of the many role models in my upbringing was going to appear at a con just mere minutes from where I lived! My really awesome friend @rainietheultimateginge ended up coming with me and as a gift purchased me an autograph from her! I was so nervous! And shaking! And the only way I was keeping calm was trying to guess what was in her Starbucks cup! She was everything I could imagine and more! And when we went to wait in line for our photo op I got to finally meet in person @bair.shannon who I've only had conversations with in #OUAT FB groups! This night was the absolute best!!!! #onceuponatime #GoodbyeOUAT
