new shakespeare fan tip!: get as familiar as possible with his style of writing. he often used inverted syntax (for me, learning this changed the whole game; i understood shakespeare 10x better knowing he often just flipped word order around), ellipsis, etc. & practice makes perfect! read a page & review what's just occurred. if you find you don't understand it, try using the annotations first. if that doesn't work, No Fear Shakespeare from SparkNotes is all online (I think). Hope this helps!
yes, indeed!!!!!!! ^^^^ whatever works for you, friend!!! go at your own pace!!! but overall it will be helpful to understand the language if you ever intend to see a live performance!!!
for me, what i did was i read the full modern-english side of as you like it, then i watched a movie version of it that was shakespeare’s language, and that helped me understand because i had the background of knowing!
