It’s March already! Ski season is winding down, sunny days herald spring around the corner, and SXSW Interactive (#SXSW) takes Austin by storm. EffectiveUI team members who are attending this year’s event are busy prepping for two digital design panels and trying to choose from the dozens of worthy sessions to attend (no easy task).
Plus, we’re all looking forward to this year’s Interactive Awards to see if the online reporting platform we built with Water For People will win the Activism category. If you are at SXSW, be sure to attend the awards ceremony on Tuesday, March 12, from 6-8:30 p.m.
On Saturday, March 9 from 12:10-12:55 p.m., EffectiveUI president and co-founder, Anthony Franco, joins SoDA’s “BBQ and Big Ideas” panel to discuss current trends and innovations in user interface and digital design. The session is already full – no surprise there considering the timely subject matter and Austin’s reputation for great BBQ. However, you can still add your name to the waitlist.
On Sunday, March 10 from 1:40-2:20 p.m., EffectiveUI’s CEO, Rebecca Flavin, joins the “Tech Powering Effectiveness” panel. The panel – which includes Ned Breslin, CEO of Water For People, and Eric Stowe, founder and director of Splash – will discuss how technology is helping nonprofits manage and visualize data in their reporting to show impact and incite action. This panel is part of GoodxGlobal, a first-ever day of events at SXSW Interactive dedicated to the local and global power of social good, technology and entrepreneurship. EffectiveUI is proud to sponsor this event, which is open to the public but requires registration.
In addition, our team on the ground will be sharing daily recaps, photos and more here, on our dedicated Tumblr site.
