Art of Mina in the classic style 🥰🫶
I didn’t think this would go as well as it did, but here she is in her Mickey’s Christmas Carol outfit
The story is that she’s named Moira Beau-Marley, or ‘Myra’ for short!
I found online that in Greek, 'Myra' can mean "perfume" or "fragrant oil" and is a shortened form of the name Moira, meaning 'fated' or 'destiny'. The Sanskrit meaning is "beloved," "favorable," or "admirable," while in Arabic, it translates to "provision" or "sustenance". Additionally, it links to 'myrrh', which has obvious links to Christmas.
Moira/Myra is a little 6-year-old girl living with her half-brother Matthew (Max), her mother Clara Beau (Clarabelle) and her 'uncles' Harold (Horace) and Declan (Desmond). They live on the outskirts of London, with Clara being a worker in a large household during the day, and coming home to care for her children at night. Matthew works as a chimney sweep for spare change, since he only discovered he even had a little half-sister after his father Jacob Marley died, thanks to a letter that was left to him. Matthew didn't have any of his inheritance thanks to Scrooge, so he went out searching for his relatives, since his mother passed when he was small. This led him to the home of a coal miner named Harold and an engineer named Declan, who Clara stayed with thanks to Harold being an old friend. Myra grew up without knowing her father, but is determined to find him someday, and even despite being young and not allowed to work, she does one day decide to sneak out and 'help' Matthew...She ends up getting stuck up a chimney and terrified, until a strange specter wearing chains comes to help, showing her the way out. Myra is thankful to him and asks if they can be friends, to which the specter replies 'we'll be something far better. We're family.' He tells her to keep his existence a secret, and doesn't tell her his name, but promises that whenever she needs him, he's watching over them all.
After the events of Mickey's Christmas Carol (and YDACC), Myra meets the Cratchit children and they become her close friends, since they are around her age. Scrooge also gave their family enough money to live comfortably, as well as giving Myra a photo of her father, making her realize just who the specter was, and making her forgive her father for his past misdeeds and abandoning her, because he came through for her in the end.
Been thinking more about her in Mickey's Christmas Carol
My idea is that she and Clarabelle didn't live with Jacob Marley, so when Clarabelle revealed she was going to have Mina, Jacob basically abandoned them (and subsequently died) since he didn't want to prioritize this child over his business and money
Because shes technically a descendant of Jacob, when Max finds out his father has died, he decides to see if he's got any other relatives. This leads to him meeting Clarabelle, who is living with Horace for support and happily takes him in. Eventually, after working as a sweep for a few years, after the events of MCC, Scrooge gives Max the inheritance he was owed by his father.
Mina, despite growing up in poverty and not having much, loves her Uncle Horace and big brother, and especially her mama. She even loves her dad, wishing him a merry Christmas every year, and little does he know, he loves her too, and watches over her now 🫶
Two little AUs ✨
- Mina and Clarabelle in A Christmas Carol, based on Clarabelle’s dress at the upcoming Mickey’s Christmas Carol Feast! I really wanted to draw her green dress again, and I thought since Mina was probably a tiny child when her father Jacob Marley passed, she’d want her mama to feel happy on Christmas even when it feels hard. I was speaking to Aero about my idea and we said that maybe Max would be a chimney sweep for money, and Clarabelle would move in with Horace to help with rent etc (which is why you see her dance with him in the Christmas Carol flashback, because they’re very good friends already). But yea, Mina will do anything to make her mama’s Christmas special, and Clarabelle loves her for it 🙂↕️
- A Thumbelina AU, where Goofy the Goofy Fairy discovers a teeny tiny cow named Thumabelle living with a little old lady. He’s charmed by her and after some escapades, they end up living happily ever after, with Thumabelle earning a pair of wings in the process so she can become a fairy too! I love Dance of the Goofys (hence why Mina has some fairy magic hehe) so paying tribute to it this way is fun, and I like how I drew their designs! 🥰
See ya!! 💛💛
Goofabelle fankid Mina Moobell 🔔
She’s been buzzing around in my head the past few days so I thought I’d finally make her reality! 🥰
I didn’t wanna just call her “Mina Goofabelle” so I chose a name similar enough, “Moo” because Goofy loves Clarabelle’s moo and she’s charmed by him because of that, and “bell” because of the cowbell and the ship name 🫶
Max is a lot older than her since Goofy remarried when he was a teen, but he loves his half-sister more than anything and always wants to protect her from any danger 😊
Your art looks ugly af
It's seriously embarassing to see such an awful content on the Goofabelle hashtag
You don’t have to look at it lmao 🤣✌️
Just scroll away if you don’t like my style, personally I think it’s very cute and has quite a lot of detail and so I’m proud of it 🥰🫶
The fact you couldn’t be brave enough to post a nasty comment under the actual post/use your own name and instead just decided to use the asks to be anonymous says a lot more about you than it does about me🧍♂️
So yea, enjoy my art because I will not stop drawing ☺️ and here it is again to contextualize what you’re talking about, so enjoy!! 😌
