On the outskirts of the village where I live are wonderful places to behold. In an overcrowded country in whitch ever more nature disappears these are little treasures.
Here you see the same scene as in my earlier post, but on a wider angle.
To the right is the old toll house (from 1893) where you had to pay your due to the "tolgaarder" (toll collector) to earn the right to use this road.
The road ends after a few kilometer in the backyard of the Gooilust estate.
Would love to have walked that road in say, 1895..
