Dear University of Mary Washington gym,
Listen. I like you. You're close to my house. You're free. You're generous. I mean, hell, I'm an alumnus. I'm not even sure I'm allowed to use you anymore. (Mind you, after tens of thousands of dollars in tuition over the last four years, I'm going to keep using you and feel totally justified about it, but you get my point.)
But hey. One minor gripe here. When you say that the pool is going to be open on Sundays from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. and 7 p.m. to 9 p.m., maybe you should, I don't know, be open during those hours.
Is that asking a lot? I don't think that's asking a lot.
Turns out it's pretty embarrassing to show up to the gym in swim trunks and sandals only to find out that the pool is closed for no reason at all and nobody on staff knows why and now I have to walk home in dry swim trunks that broadcast to everyone what a failure I am.
P.S. The gym closes at 8 p.m. on Sundays, so how is the pool even open until 9 p.m.? That makes no sense.
