even tho obviously one can consider you catching the legendary pokemon to be canon since i mean you literally do that in the mainline games, i am a sucker for the lore that theyre supposed to be specials and rare and/or mythical creatures ala the pokeanim so i never give my ocs legendaries or mythicals
