small goosefeather theory i have hihi (sorta spoilers for ivypools heart !!!)
i saw someone else headcanoning that goosefeather is related to the sisters, which personally I find it awesome!! AND I feel like it perfectly ties in an theory I’ve had for a quite a while involving his “powers”.
what if instead of it being starclan cats that bombarded him with all these prophecies that came true only like 20 years later, long after his death, his power stretches even beyond them? What if his connection comes from the river of spirits, or the souls that reintegrate into the physical world after fading in their respective afterlife?
To elaborate, ever since these concepts were introduced around Ivypools heart, I felt like they neatly could answer the “where does starclan get its prophecies from?” question. From what I remember in the books, Starclan are more like massagers of prophecies themselves. They just sorta get to see them first and later on try to pass it down to the clan cats.
In my mind, I imagine the river of spirits and the spirit world that has manifested in the physical world exists outside time. So maybe these spirits constantly can see/sense all the possibilities the reality can shape itself in (sorta multiverse-y), and the prophecies starclan recives, are just a flickers from the grander afterlife post-starclan (that would also explain the cryptidness of the prophecies)
So on top of having the usual sister spiel of seeing ghosts, I headcanon that goosfeather was the only living cat that somehow also gained connection with the grander afterlife post-starclan, therefore also got to see the flickers of these prophecies that were meant to find starclan cats in their own time instead.
anyways I know this sounds very abstract, hope someone gets it, cause I find the idea very compelling :3
