First off, I think we'd be fine with a Business man/ woman president, I don't like that so many of our politicians are lawyers. The only thing lawyers are good at doing is arguing, and lawyers never want to resolve anything as that would mean they're done being paid. They're paid to NOT resolve, if things ended they'd have to go find new clients. Today, solid majorities of Americans support gay rights, legal abortion, and women in combat, yet the Republicans are still stuck in the stone ages opposing even very basic things, trying to roll us back to pre-world war 2. Even Rick says that only dumb people follow Republicans: http://youtu.be/0n5oa55EsmI In 2010 when the Tea Party Republicans took over Congress, Senator Mitch McConnell announced that the PRIORITY of the Republicans was to make sure Obama was a one term president. They weren't worried about the US, the economy or anything else, only ending Obama's presidency. SINCE THEN - here's the facts like it or not - SINCE THEN: Republicans BLOCKED the tax on companies that ship jobs overseas. Republicans BLOCKED the Political Ad disclosure bill TWICE Republicans BLOCKED The Small Business jobs bill - TWICE Republicans BLOCKED the Dream Act Republicans BLOCKED the repeal of "don't ask, don't tell" numerous times Republicans BLOCKED the Anti-Rape Amendment Republicans BLOCKED The Benefits for Homeless Vets bill They voted 33 times to repeal The Affordable Health Care for America Act (Romney care / Obama care) 33 times! Republicans BLOCKED the Health Care for 911 Responders Jobs bill? BLOCKED by Republicans Wall Street Reform? BLOCKED by Republicans Immigration Reform? BLOCKED by Republicans Unemployment Extension bill (HR 4213) BLOCKED by Republicans Fair Pay Act? BLOCKED and Defeated by Republicans. Here's Romney saying he's opposed to the wind industry, then saying Obama is not doing enough to help the wind industry: http://grist.org/news/romney-opposes-key-support-to-wind-industry-opposes-obama-not-helping-wind-industry/ Seriously. I'm not making this up. For God sakes, even McCain picked Palin over "I love to fire people" Romney! Romney has promised that if elected president he would require every new computer be sold with a porn filter. What's next? An "I don't like Romney" filter? Talk about intrusive big government. This is very scary stuff: http://www.huffingtonpost.com/2012/07/19/mitt-romney-aide-promises_n_1687210.html?utm_hp_ref=fb&src=sp&comm_ref=false Romney Supported Vietnam War, Demonstrated Against Demonstrators, and then Avoided Draft. http://www.dailykos.com/story/2012/06/06/1097899/-Romney-Supported-Vietnam-War-Demonstrated-Against-Demonstrators-and-then-Avoided-Draft Republicans are racists, I'm not. http://youtu.be/a0ccPh3YYH4 It boggles my mind that anyone could even consider voting for a man that is doing everything possible to end the strides that women have made. Watch this and see if it doesn't make you SICK: http://video.msnbc.msn.com/now-with-alex-wagner/48814315/#48814315 Romney is / was even against women getting the same PAY as men. Paul Ryan voted against the Lilly Ledbetter Fair Pay Act. One in four children lives in single-mother families; one in two of those children is poor, but Paul Ryan voted against fair pay. Do you know that besides being against abortion and the head of a party that believes rape can be 'legitimate', take a gander at all the things these sickos are against: http://www.rhrealitycheck.org/article/2012/08/24/gops-official-stance-on-abortion-emergency-contraception-and-personhood http://thinkprogress.org/progress-report/war-on-women-equal-pay-edition/ http://articles.boston.com/2012-06-05/nation/32033648_1_women-fare-gender-wage-gap-paycheck-fairness-act http://www.newyorker.com/talk/comment/2012/09/03/120903taco_talk_gourevitch Romney said that if elected he would end Planned Parenthood. Think about that. What about Universal Health Care? Romney's own idea, but he was against it. But if that alone doesn't make you think he's nuts, he's looking to end the program. Republicans voted 33 (34?) times to end it, costing us about $50 million dollars. That’s 33 attempts to scrap health reform without offering a single idea on how to replace the law and still make coverage affordable and more secure. No ideas, no nothing, just big sessions of Congress to vote "NO" 33 times, losing each time. How many job bills did they bring forth? Zero. How many other health plan initiatives? Zero. Before Universal Health Care insurance companies could deny health care to people with pre-existing conditions. A man will watch the tumor in his leg grow to the size of a melon, and his wife will sew special pants to fit the growing bulge, because he has no insurance. http://www.nytimes.com/2012/06/22/health/policy/those-already-ill-have-huge-stake-in-health-ruling.html?pagewanted=1 A woman will hobble around for four years on an untreated broken ankle she can’t have repaired. http://www.nytimes.com/2012/06/23/health/oregon-study-reveals-benefits-and-costs-of-insuring-the-uninsured.html People will line up in their cars and spend the night in a parking lot queuing for a rare free health clinic. http://www.kaiserhealthnews.org/Stories/2012/June/17/uninsured-tennessee-clinic-supreme-court-health-law.aspx The GOP is the only mainstream political party in the advanced world to hold this stance.
Genius
Food for Thought.
The top 10 of the 47% Non-Payers by State:
1 - Mississippi - 45% 2 - Georgia - 41% 3 - Arkansas - 41% 4 - New Mexico - 40% 5 - Alabama - 40% 6 - South Carolina - 40% 7 - Louisiana - 39% 8 - Texas - 39% 9 - Florida - 39% 10 - Idaho - 39%
And guess what guys! 9 out of 10 are Republican states. Just pointing that out.
This is not photoshop
Mormon Cyborg Mitt "I don't care about half of the country" Romney and his bronzing make-up for an Univision interview. He needs to get tips from the Weeper of the House John Boehner on how to wear that crap.
She looks better.
