The state championship game didn't turn out the way I nor anyone else had hoped for my Fighting Pelicans. However, I'm still proud of them. They had an amazing season and so many school records were broken. One thing I learned in life is to not be conditional towards others, especially young people. In other words, we have to be loving and encouraging towards each other, in spite of the outcomes. Even though they're runners-up, they're still champions in my book.
